March Spider the sixteenth
Known as Ground spiders my mind went “geomancer” and here we are. Given that in my mind there are two distinct time frames the Araneo exist in, a fantasy themed past (same world as my old webcomic Lunar and Kirk) and the modern present day version of that world (where Essex, Mckay, Afro and Spaz and the like exist) I wanted more representation of the former.Lore note: With the ability to manipulate the magical aether a geomancer would need this araneo is one of the few that can freely switch between spider and humanoid forms whenever they choose.
Match Spider the fifteenth
Celebrity spider this time as the black widow is among the holders of this eye set.
Had a lot of ideas for this one but eventually decided to base this one on my friend lurks-beneath’s sorta crazy Inquisitor, Elyse Trevelyan which is also thematically appropriate due to the fact the base for which Araneo lore was built was basically Dragon Age’s.
March Spider the fourteenth (That’s halfway done )The Crab Spiders despite the name don’t really live underwater so another aquatic spider seemed improper and again not really wanting to do any weird double hybrids. On thing I noticed looking through the gallery though is that a common trait among the species was that they all seemed to have proportionately beefy front arms. So welcome to the gun show.
March Spiders the twelfth and thirteenth
So this particular subset of spiders actually has a variation known as the “hobo spider” but I already drew one of those so have two “funnel” spiders instead
Named them “Chuggz” and “Belchee”
